For 12-14 year olds, information on qualifications, employment status and occupation are not collected. They can only exist in household types containing children (couple and one parent families), and household income relates to the income earned by adults in the household.
For 15-17 year olds, they are included in employment, qualification and occupation information, though most are still at school in Australia. Their incomes are included in the household income total, and they may be counted in non-family household types.
