Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in City of Greater Bendigo in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (7,519 people or 26.8%)
- Community and Personal Service Workers (5,378 people or 19.1%)
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (5,147 people or 18.3%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 18,044 people in total or 64.2% of the employed resident population.
In comparison, Regional VIC - Total females employed 24.1% in Professionals; 19.2% in Community and Personal Service Workers; and 17.7% in Clerical and Administrative Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by females in the City of Greater Bendigo and Regional VIC - Total females were:
- A larger percentage of females employed as Professionals (26.8% compared to 24.1%)
- A smaller percentage of females employed as Managers (8.5% compared to 10.9%)
