Dominant groups
Analysis of the ancestry responses of the population in Emerton in 2016 shows that the top five ancestries nominated were:
- Australian (660 people or 29.4%)
- English (574 people or 25.6%)
- Samoan (186 people or 8.3%)
- Filipino (123 people or 5.5%)
- Irish (119 people or 5.3%)
In combination these five ancestries account for 1,662 responses in total, or 74.13% of all responses.
The major differences between the ancestries of the population in Emerton and Riverstone Precinct were:
