In 2016, 142 females (or 7.2% of the female population) in Tregear reported needing help in their day-to-day lives due to disability. This was a percentage increase from 2011.

Dominant groups
Analysis of the need for assistance of females in Blacktown City compared to Blackett shows that there was a similar proportion of females who reported needing assistance with core activities.
Overall, 7.2% of the female population reported needing assistance with core activities, compared with 7.7% for Blackett.
The major differences in the female age groups reporting a need for assistance in Tregear and Blackett were:
- A larger percentage of females aged 60 to 64 (18.3% compared to 7.8%)
- A smaller percentage of females aged 85 and over (18.8% compared to 75.0%)
- A smaller percentage of females aged 70 to 74 (17.2% compared to 27.0%)
- A smaller percentage of females aged 75 to 79 (15.8% compared to 22.7%)
