Dominant groups

Analysis of the need for assistance of females in Blacktown City Council compared to WSROC Region shows that there was a similar proportion of females who reported needing assistance with core activities.

Overall, 6.6% of the female population reported needing assistance with core activities, compared with 6.3% for WSROC Region.

The major differences in the female age groups reporting a need for assistance in Blacktown Precinct and WSROC Region were:

  • A larger percentage of females aged 85 and over (63.3% compared to 58.1%)
  • A larger percentage of females aged 80 to 84 (44.1% compared to 40.6%)
