Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Marayong in 2021 compared to WSROC Region shows that there was a lower proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a higher proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 34.4% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 14.1% were one-parent families, compared with 39.2% and 12.6% respectively for WSROC Region.

There were a higher proportion of lone person households and a higher proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 21.6% compared to 18.5% in WSROC Region while the proportion of couples without children was 20.9% compared to 20.2% in WSROC Region.
