Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Blacktown in 2021 compared to Riverstone – Vineyard – Grantham Farm shows that there was a lower proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a lower proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 36.7% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 12.0% were one-parent families, compared with 44.1% and 12.6% respectively for Riverstone – Vineyard – Grantham Farm.

There were a higher proportion of lone person households and a lower proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 19.3% compared to 13.5% in Riverstone – Vineyard – Grantham Farm while the proportion of couples without children was 19.9% compared to 20.8% in Riverstone – Vineyard – Grantham Farm.
