Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Blacktown Precinct in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Health Care and Social Assistance (7,097 females or 25.4%)
- Retail Trade (3,175 females or 11.4%)
- Education and Training (3,097 females or 11.1%)
In combination, these three industries employed 13,369 females in total or 47.8% of the total employed female resident population.
In comparison, WSROC Region employed 22.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 10.7% in Retail Trade; and 12.2% in Education and Training.
The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Blacktown Precinct and WSROC Region were:
- A larger percentage of females employed in health care and social assistance (25.4% compared to 22.8%)
