Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Blacktown City in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (20,034 females or 24.3%)
  • Retail Trade (9,201 females or 11.2%)
  • Education and Training (8,987 females or 10.9%)

In combination, these three industries employed 38,222 females in total or 46.4% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, WSROC Region employed 22.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 10.7% in Retail Trade; and 12.2% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Blacktown City and WSROC Region were:
