Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Blacktown Precinct in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (4,247 males or 13.1%)
  • Construction (3,649 males or 11.3%)
  • Manufacturing (3,159 males or 9.8%)

In combination, these three industries employed 11,055 males in total or 34.2% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, WSROC Region employed 9.9% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing; 13.5% in Construction; and 9.4% in Manufacturing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Blacktown Precinct and WSROC Region were:
