Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Dharruk in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (96 females or 24.9%)
  • Education and Training (47 females or 12.2%)
  • Retail Trade (42 females or 10.9%)

In combination, these three industries employed 185 females in total or 47.9% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, WSROC Region employed 22.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 12.2% in Education and Training; and 10.7% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Dharruk and WSROC Region were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in administrative and support services (6.0% compared to 3.4%)
  • A larger percentage of females employed in transport, postal and warehousing (5.4% compared to 3.3%)
