Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Ward 2 in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Health Care and Social Assistance (3,649 females or 24.9%)
- Education and Training (1,839 females or 12.5%)
- Retail Trade (1,647 females or 11.2%)
In combination, these three industries employed 7,135 females in total or 48.7% of the total employed female resident population.
In comparison, WSROC Region employed 22.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 12.2% in Education and Training; and 10.7% in Retail Trade.
The major difference between the jobs held by the female population of Ward 2 and WSROC Region was:
- A larger percentage of females employed in health care and social assistance (24.9% compared to 22.8%)
