Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in The Ponds in 2016 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Health Care and Social Assistance (664 people or 11.2%)
- Retail Trade (624 people or 10.6%)
- Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (545 people or 9.2%)
In combination, these three industries employed 1,833 people in total or 31.0% of the total employed resident population.
In comparison, Stanhope Gardens employed 11.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 10.5% in Retail Trade; and 8.8% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services.
