Dominant groups
Analysis of the Urdu speaking population in Blacktown City Council in 2021 compared to Greater Sydney shows that there was a higher proportion of people in the younger age groups (under 15) as well as a higher proportion of people in the older age groups (65+).
Overall, 30.3% of the Urdu speaking population was aged between 0 and 14, and 3.6% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 27.5% and 2.8% respectively for Greater Sydney.
The major differences between the age groups of the Urdu speaking population in Blacktown City and Greater Sydney were:

The largest changes in the age groups of the Urdu speaking population in this area between 2016 and 2021 were in the age groups:
- 35 to 39 (+582 persons)
- 10 to 14 (+394 persons)
- 40 to 44 (+356 persons)
- 5 to 9 (+289 persons)
