Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the Persian/Dari speaking resident population in Blacktown City in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (442 people or 27.1%)
- Technicians and Trades Workers (213 people or 13.1%)
- Community and Personal Service Workers (191 people or 11.7%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 846 people in total or 51.9% of the employed resident population.
In comparison, Greater Sydney employed 36.6% in Professionals; 11.5% in Technicians and Trades Workers; and 9.2% in Community and Personal Service Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the Persian/Dari speaking population of Blacktown City and Greater Sydney were:
- A larger percentage of people employed as Machinery Operators And Drivers (8.3% compared to 5.1%)
- A larger percentage of people employed as Community and Personal Service Workers (11.7% compared to 9.2%)
- A smaller percentage of people employed as Professionals (27.1% compared to 36.6%)
