Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the Tongan speaking resident population in Blacktown City in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Machinery Operators And Drivers (277 people or 31.0%)
- Labourers (147 people or 16.4%)
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (127 people or 14.2%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 551 people in total or 61.6% of the employed resident population.
In comparison, Greater Sydney employed 24.4% in Machinery Operators And Drivers; 17.9% in Labourers; and 13.0% in Clerical and Administrative Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the Tongan speaking population of Blacktown City and Greater Sydney were:
