Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Marayong in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (327 females or 22.6%)
- Professionals (311 females or 21.5%)
- Community and Personal Service Workers (257 females or 17.8%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 895 females in total or 61.9% of the employed female resident population.
In comparison, Blacktown City employed 22.6% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; 26.6% in Professionals; and 15.3% in Community and Personal Service Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Marayong and Blacktown City were:
- A larger percentage of females employed as Community and Personal Service Workers (17.8% compared to 15.3%)
- A larger percentage of females employed as Labourers (9.2% compared to 7.1%)
- A smaller percentage of females employed as Professionals (21.5% compared to 26.6%)
- A smaller percentage of females employed as Managers (7.0% compared to 8.7%)
