Analysis of the car ownership of the households in Macquarie Fields in 2021 compared to Rural Residential shows that 81.4% of the households owned at least one car, while 10.9% did not, compared with 92.7% and 3.0% respectively in Rural Residential.
Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a larger proportion who owned just one car; a smaller proportion who owned two cars; and a smaller proportion who owned three cars or more.
Overall, 40.1% of the households owned one car; 29.6% owned two cars; and 11.7% owned three cars or more, compared with 33.1%; 38.6% and 21.0% respectively for Rural Residential.
