Dominant groups
Analysis of the household/family types in Ruse in 2021 compared to Australia shows that there was a higher proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a higher proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 35.8% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 14.4% were one-parent families, compared with 29.7% and 10.5% respectively for Australia.
There were a lower proportion of lone person households and a higher proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 17.5% compared to 24.2% in Australia while the proportion of couples without children was 26.3% compared to 25.4% in Australia.
