Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Airds in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (109 females or 30.6%)
  • Retail Trade (50 females or 14.0%)
  • Accommodation and Food Services (29 females or 8.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 188 females in total or 52.8% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, New South Wales employed 22.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 10.3% in Retail Trade; and 6.7% in Accommodation and Food Services.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Airds and New South Wales were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in health care and social assistance (30.6% compared to 22.8%)
  • A larger percentage of females employed in administrative and support services (8.1% compared to 3.4%)
  • A larger percentage of females employed in retail trade (14.0% compared to 10.3%)
