Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Minto in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (415 males or 14.2%)
  • Manufacturing (351 males or 12.0%)
  • Construction (265 males or 9.0%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,031 males in total or 35.2% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Campbelltown City employed 12.1% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing; 11.6% in Manufacturing; and 12.7% in Construction.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Minto and Campbelltown City were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in health care and social assistance (8.6% compared to 6.3%)
  • A larger percentage of males employed in transport, postal and warehousing (14.2% compared to 12.1%)
  • A smaller percentage of males employed in construction (9.0% compared to 12.7%)

The number of employed males in Minto decreased by 54 between 2016 and 2021.
