Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Minto in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Transport, Postal and Warehousing (415 males or 14.2%)
- Manufacturing (351 males or 12.0%)
- Construction (265 males or 9.0%)
In combination, these three industries employed 1,031 males in total or 35.2% of the total employed male resident population.
In comparison, Campbelltown City employed 12.1% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing; 11.6% in Manufacturing; and 12.7% in Construction.
The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Minto and Campbelltown City were:
- A larger percentage of males employed in health care and social assistance (8.6% compared to 6.3%)
- A larger percentage of males employed in transport, postal and warehousing (14.2% compared to 12.1%)
- A smaller percentage of males employed in construction (9.0% compared to 12.7%)
Emerging groups
The number of employed males in Minto decreased by 54 between 2016 and 2021.
The largest changes in the jobs held by the male resident population between 2016 and 2021 in Minto were for those employed in:
- Health Care and Social Assistance (+71 males)
