Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Minto in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (739 females or 29.7%)
  • Retail Trade (341 females or 13.7%)
  • Education and Training (208 females or 8.3%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,288 females in total or 51.7% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Campbelltown City employed 26.1% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 12.0% in Retail Trade; and 11.7% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Minto and Campbelltown City were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in health care and social assistance (29.7% compared to 26.1%)
  • A larger percentage of females employed in retail trade (13.7% compared to 12.0%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed in education and training (8.3% compared to 11.7%)
