Occupation of employment
There were more female clerical and administrative workers in Rural Residential in 2016 than any other occupation.

Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Rural Residential in 2016 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (139 females or 26.9%)
- Professionals (129 females or 25.0%)
- Community and Personal Service Workers (75 females or 14.6%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 343 females in total or 66.5% of the employed female resident population.
In comparison, Greater Sydney employed 22.6% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; 29.3% in Professionals; and 13.7% in Community and Personal Service Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Rural Residential and Greater Sydney were:
- A larger percentage of females employed as Clerical and Administrative Workers (26.9% compared to 22.6%)
- A larger percentage of females employed as Machinery Operators And Drivers (3.2% compared to 1.4%)
- A smaller percentage of females employed as Professionals (25.0% compared to 29.3%)
- A smaller percentage of females employed as Sales Workers (9.3% compared to 11.1%)
