Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Minto in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Community and Personal Service Workers (519 females or 20.8%)
  • Professionals (515 females or 20.6%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (478 females or 19.1%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 1,512 females in total or 60.5% of the employed female resident population.

In comparison, New South Wales employed 15.4% in Community and Personal Service Workers; 29.5% in Professionals; and 20.1% in Clerical and Administrative Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Minto and New South Wales were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed as Community and Personal Service Workers (20.8% compared to 15.4%)
  • A larger percentage of females employed as Labourers (10.1% compared to 5.9%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed as Professionals (20.6% compared to 29.5%)
