Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Fairfield in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (291 males or 12.1%)
  • Manufacturing (284 males or 11.8%)
  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (265 males or 11.0%)

In combination, these three industries employed 840 males in total or 34.9% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Fairfield City employed 13.3% in Construction; 14.0% in Manufacturing; and 11.3% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Fairfield and Fairfield City were:
