Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Corowa in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (262 females or 22.9%)
  • Retail Trade (153 females or 13.4%)
  • Manufacturing (150 females or 13.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 565 females in total or 49.3% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Federation Council area employed 22.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 12.2% in Retail Trade; and 10.4% in Manufacturing.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Corowa and Federation Council area were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in manufacturing (13.1% compared to 10.4%)
  • A larger percentage of females employed in retail trade (13.4% compared to 12.2%)
