The size of Ashfield (South)'s male labour force in 2021 was 3,258, of which 785 were employed part-time and 1,887 were full time workers.
Analysis of the male employment status (as a percentage of the labour force) in Ashfield (South) in 2021 compared to Inner West Council area shows that there was a lower proportion in employment, and a higher proportion unemployed. Overall, 93.0% of the male labour force was employed, and 7.0% unemployed, compared with 95.3% and 4.7% respectively for Inner West Council area.
Analysis of the labour force participation rate of the male population in Ashfield (South) in 2021 shows that there was a lower proportion in the labour force (63.6%) compared with Inner West Council area (70.1%).
