Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Inner West Council area in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (19,384 people or 38.5%)
- Managers (9,936 people or 19.7%)
- Technicians and Trades Workers (5,963 people or 11.8%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 35,283 people in total or 70.0% of the employed resident population.
In comparison, Inner West Council area - Total population employed 41.0% in Professionals; 18.7% in Managers; and 7.6% in Technicians and Trades Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by males in Inner West Council area and Inner West Council area - Total population were:
- A larger percentage of males employed as Technicians and Trades Workers (11.8% compared to 7.6%)
- A smaller percentage of males employed as Clerical and Administrative Workers (7.8% compared to 11.7%)
