Analysis of the share of the male population attending educational institutions in Division 01 in 2021 compared to the City of Ipswich shows that there was a higher proportion attending primary school, a similar proportion attending secondary school, and a similar proportion engaged in tertiary level education.
Overall, 11.7% of the male population were attending primary school, 7.6% of the male population were attending secondary institutions, and 4.2% were learning at a tertiary level, compared with 10.5%, 7.7% and 4.3% respectively for the City of Ipswich.
The major differences between the share of the male population attending learning institutions in Division 01 and the City of Ipswich were:
- A larger percentage of males attending a primary school (any type) (11.7% compared to 10.5%)
- A larger percentage of males attending a Government primary school (8.8% compared to 7.7%)
