Dominant groups

Analysis of the male five year age groups of the City of Ipswich in 2021 compared to South East Queensland shows that there was a higher proportion of males in the younger age groups (under 15) and a lower proportion of males in the older age groups (65+).

Overall, 24.6% of the male population was aged between 0 and 15, and 10.7% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 19.7% and 15.5% respectively for South East Queensland.
