Analysis of the household/family types in Division 03 in 2021 compared to the City of Ipswich shows that there was a lower proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a higher proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 24.0% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 17.0% were one-parent families, compared with 32.6% and 15.2% respectively for the City of Ipswich.
There were a higher proportion of lone person households and a lower proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 26.9% compared to 21.0% in the City of Ipswich while the proportion of couples without children was 20.8% compared to 22.2% in the City of Ipswich.
