Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in City of Ipswich in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Technicians and Trades Workers (12,514 people or 23.4%)
  • Machinery Operators And Drivers (8,916 people or 16.6%)
  • Labourers (7,538 people or 14.1%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 28,968 people in total or 54.1% of the employed resident population.

In comparison, City of Ipswich - Total population employed 14.3% in Technicians and Trades Workers; 9.8% in Machinery Operators And Drivers; and 11.5% in Labourers.
