Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Pymble in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (531 females or 18.7%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (440 females or 15.5%)
  • Education and Training (395 females or 13.9%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,366 females in total or 48.0% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Warringah Council area employed 19.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 12.2% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 13.2% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Pymble and Warringah Council area were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in financial and insurance services (9.8% compared to 6.1%)
