Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in NSROC Region in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (53,523 people or 16.7%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (42,715 people or 13.4%)
  • Financial and Insurance Services (33,737 people or 10.6%)

In combination, these three industries employed 129,975 people in total or 40.7% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Ku-ring-gai Council area employed 17.5% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; 14.2% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 11.4% in Financial and Insurance Services.

There were no major differences between NSROC Region and Ku-ring-gai Council area in 2021.
