Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in East Killara in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (132 males or 19.8%)
  • Financial and Insurance Services (100 males or 15.0%)
  • Retail Trade (55 males or 8.3%)

In combination, these three industries employed 287 males in total or 43.2% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Ku-ring-gai Council area employed 20.2% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; 13.4% in Financial and Insurance Services; and 7.1% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of East Killara and Ku-ring-gai Council area were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in financial and insurance services (15.0% compared to 13.4%)
