Dominant groups
Analysis of the ancestry responses of the population in Stroud and surrounds in 2016 shows that the top five ancestries nominated were:
- Australian (1,354 people or 49.9%)
- English (1,191 people or 43.9%)
- Scottish (225 people or 8.3%)
- Irish (208 people or 7.7%)
- German (104 people or 3.8%)
In combination these five ancestries account for 3,082 responses in total, or 113.68% of all responses.
The major differences between the ancestries of the population in Stroud and surrounds and Australia were:
