Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Harrington and surrounds in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (421 people or 19.1%)
  • Construction (234 people or 10.6%)
  • Retail Trade (223 people or 10.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 878 people in total or 39.9% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Pacific Palms - Coomba Park area employed 13.3% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 14.6% in Construction; and 9.2% in Retail Trade.
