Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Nabiac and surrounds in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Construction (192 males or 24.2%)
- Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (87 males or 11.0%)
- Manufacturing (73 males or 9.2%)
In combination, these three industries employed 352 males in total or 44.4% of the total employed male resident population.
In comparison, MidCoast Council area employed 18.1% in Construction; 6.8% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; and 7.4% in Manufacturing.
The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Nabiac and surrounds and MidCoast Council area were:
- A larger percentage of males employed in construction (24.2% compared to 18.1%)
- A larger percentage of males employed in agriculture, forestry and fishing (11.0% compared to 6.8%)
- A smaller percentage of males employed in accommodation and food services (5.1% compared to 7.8%)
