Dominant groups

Analysis of the language used at home by the population of MidCoast Council area in 2021 compared to Pacific Palms - Coomba Park area shows that there was a larger proportion of people who used English only, and a similar proportion of those using a non-English language (either exclusively, or in addition to English).

Overall, 89.9% of the population used English only, and 3.2% used a non-English language, compared with 88.3% and 3.0% respectively for Pacific Palms - Coomba Park area.

The dominant language used at home, other than English, in MidCoast Council area was German, with 0.2% of the population, or 236 people using this language at home.

There were no major differences between MidCoast Council area and Pacific Palms - Coomba Park area in 2021.
