Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Beveridge in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (237 females or 24.2%)
  • Education and Training (121 females or 12.4%)
  • Retail Trade (88 females or 9.0%)

In combination, these three industries employed 446 females in total or 45.6% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Mitchell Shire employed 22.1% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 12.7% in Education and Training; and 10.5% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Beveridge and Mitchell Shire were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in transport, postal and warehousing (5.9% compared to 3.7%)
  • A larger percentage of females employed in health care and social assistance (24.2% compared to 22.1%)
  • A larger percentage of females employed in wholesale trade (3.3% compared to 1.9%)
