Analysis of the car ownership of the households in Nillumbik Shire in 2021 compared to Plenty - Yarrambat shows that 95.7% of the households owned at least one car, while 1.7% did not, compared with 95.9% and 1.1% respectively in Plenty - Yarrambat.
Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a larger proportion who owned just one car; a larger proportion who owned two cars; and a smaller proportion who owned three cars or more.
Overall, 20.8% of the households owned one car; 43.3% owned two cars; and 31.6% owned three cars or more, compared with 9.7%; 35.4% and 50.7% respectively for Plenty - Yarrambat.
