Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Hurstbridge in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (232 females or 24.8%)
  • Education and Training (190 females or 20.3%)
  • Retail Trade (82 females or 8.8%)

In combination, these three industries employed 504 females in total or 53.8% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Nillumbik Shire employed 23.0% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 17.2% in Education and Training; and 9.6% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Hurstbridge and Nillumbik Shire were:
