Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Collaroy in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (550 people or 13.1%)
  • Construction (495 people or 11.8%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (478 people or 11.4%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,523 people in total or 36.4% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Beacon Hill employed 11.8% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; 9.1% in Construction; and 12.0% in Health Care and Social Assistance.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Collaroy and Beacon Hill were:

  • A larger percentage of persons employed in construction (11.8% compared to 9.1%)
  • A larger percentage of persons employed in professional, scientific and technical services (13.1% compared to 11.8%)
