Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Northern Beaches Council area in 2016 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (17,114 people or 13.2%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance (13,922 people or 10.7%)
- Retail Trade (11,820 people or 9.1%)
In combination, these three industries employed 42,856 people in total or 33.0% of the total employed resident population.
In comparison, North Manly employed 14.1% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; 9.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 7.5% in Retail Trade.
The major differences between the jobs held by the population of the Northern Beaches Council area and North Manly were:
