Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in North Narrabeen in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (386 males or 23.9%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (194 males or 12.0%)
  • Retail Trade (134 males or 8.3%)

In combination, these three industries employed 714 males in total or 44.2% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Northern Beaches Council area employed 15.7% in Construction; 15.2% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 7.7% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of North Narrabeen and Northern Beaches Council area were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in construction (23.9% compared to 15.7%)
