Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Warringah Council area in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (6,648 males or 16.0%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (5,750 males or 13.8%)
  • Retail Trade (3,452 males or 8.3%)

In combination, these three industries employed 15,850 males in total or 38.1% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Northern Beaches Council area employed 15.7% in Construction; 15.2% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 7.7% in Retail Trade.

The major difference between the jobs held by the male population of Warringah Council area and Northern Beaches Council area was:
