Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Brookvale in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (205 females or 20.5%)
  • Retail Trade (111 females or 11.1%)
  • Education and Training (107 females or 10.7%)

In combination, these three industries employed 423 females in total or 42.2% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Northern Beaches Council area employed 19.0% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 9.4% in Retail Trade; and 13.1% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Brookvale and Northern Beaches Council area were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in other services (5.3% compared to 3.6%)
