Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Manly Council area in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (2,171 females or 19.2%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (1,788 females or 15.8%)
  • Education and Training (1,269 females or 11.2%)

In combination, these three industries employed 5,228 females in total or 46.2% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Northern Beaches Council area employed 13.4% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; 19.0% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 13.1% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Manly Council area and Northern Beaches Council area were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in professional, scientific and technical services (19.2% compared to 13.4%)
