Analysis of the household/family types of Italian speakers in the Northern Beaches Council in 2021 compared to the total population in the Northern Beaches Council shows that there was a lower proportion of Italian speakers in couple families with child(ren) as well as a higher proportion in one-parent families. Overall, 46.7% of Italian speakers were in couple families with child(ren), and 10.9% were one-parent families, compared with 55.6% and 8.8% respectively for the total population in the Northern Beaches Council.
