Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the Arabic speaking resident population in Northern Beaches Council area in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (76 people or 29.3%)
- Managers (60 people or 23.2%)
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (28 people or 10.8%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 164 people in total or 63.3% of the employed resident population.
In comparison, Greater Sydney employed 23.8% in Professionals; 14.3% in Managers; and 13.8% in Clerical and Administrative Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the Arabic speaking population of Northern Beaches Council area and Greater Sydney were:
- A larger percentage of people employed as Managers (23.2% compared to 14.3%)
- A larger percentage of people employed as Professionals (29.3% compared to 23.8%)
- A smaller percentage of people employed as Community and Personal Service Workers (4.2% compared to 9.6%)
- A smaller percentage of people employed as Clerical and Administrative Workers (10.8% compared to 13.8%)
